Dr. Katrina Van Patten

Dr. Katrina Van Patten grew up in Carson City from age 2 where her Father, Dr. Wm Van Patten, started the first Optometric practice in town. She attended Carson City schools, college in Utah, then the Southern California College of Optometry where she earned her 2nd Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Science in 1981, then her Doctor of Optometry in 1983. As a 2nd generation Optometrist she joined her Father in practice in Carson City.

Over the years Dr. Van Patten has served in many capacities for the Nevada Optometric Association, including President, and on a National level for the American Optometric Association on the Board of Licensing and Regulations. She has received “Distinguished Optometrist of the Year” twice.

Dr. Katrina and her husband enjoy golf, skiing, traveling, and both cooking and sharing Greek foods!
